Spirulina, also known as blue-green algae is a micro organism that grows in fresh or salt water. A single celled microbe that is an incredible food source whose consumption was known by the Mayans. It's a type of cyanobacteria â€” often referred to as blue-green algae â€” that is incredibly healthy.
